| I said it would be different for issue 3.
I'd get all the articles completely done by the publication date of 6/1/00.
Of course an article was held up. It was the article on the studio design of the
Musart studio. It happened that I made a lot of changes to the plan on 6/1 and 6/3
and now finally have a good-sounding professional design. |
| We celebrate our third issue with posting the
course content of our well-know Recording Techniques I program for our distance students,
our campus students and Alexander Subscribers. Complete
study of this text could allow a distance RID student to bypass (by exam) 42% of the
campus classes necessary for full certification. Full time campus students use the
postings for study in between classes or for reviewing before examinations. Other
Alexander subscribers may simply want to study this wealth of text data on professional
recording techniques for personal enhancement. Postings for the Associate Recording
Engineer Program will begin shortly, go here for details. |
| Our feature article is about capturing the
sound with a microphone. It is a chapter-size article called RECORDING
APPROACHES. It's a comprehensive article
that reviews 4 types of stereo marking and how to choose micing techniques in just about
any situation. |
| For our project studio readers we present the
design of a studio in BUILDING YOUR HOME STUDIO RIGHT - Part2 and the promised last article on THE LAST
PATCH PANEL. We also begin a series with
the UNDERSTANDING MIDI - Part 1
article. |
| We'd like to know what you want to see in
upcoming issues, be sure to e-mail
me with requests. |
